Our Community

Neighbors first. Legal guidance when it matters.

Our office has always been part of everyday life here — a place where families come with questions about a new home, an aging parent, a small business, or an estate to settle. We’re proud to serve a town that still values handshakes, local events, and showing up for one another.

Germantown, Ohio

Our Community

Germantown is small enough that people know your name, and interesting enough that there’s always something happening. On weekends you might catch friends at the farmers’ market by the public library, which brings local growers and makers together on North Plum Street.

Germantown was founded by German-speaking families led by Philip Gunckel, and the city has kept that heritage in plain view, in street grids, historic districts, and landmarks. One local icon is the Covered Bridge on East Center Street. Originally built in 1870 and moved to its current spot in 1911, it’s now a pedestrian crossing that links daily life with local history.

Our Commitment

And we’ve always been linked to the people here. It’s an essential part of what our firm is, and has been for generations.

We make time for real conversations. We meet in person, listen first, and give you straightforward advice about your options. If something is not the right fit, we will say so. If there is a better path, we will explain it. Our goal is to build plans that help you today, and that still make sense years from now for your family and the generations to come.

  • Available when you need us. Call, stop in, or schedule a time to sit down together.
  • Realistic guidance. We are honest about timelines, costs, and what the law can and cannot do.
  • Solutions that fit your life. We tailor wills, powers of attorney, probate steps, and simple business or real estate needs to your situation.
  • Built for the future. We design plans that can be updated, so your documents keep pace with life and support your family over time.

Why Local Families Choose Us

What Makes This Office Different

Generations of Trust

This firm has supported Germantown and surrounding counties for over 150 years. Families return because they know the office, the process, and the people.

In-Person Attention

If possible, we meet face to face. You’ll have time to ask questions, think through choices, and move at a comfortable pace.

Practical and Organized

From powers of attorney to probate filings, we keep each step clear and handle the details carefully, so nothing is left hanging.

Considered Modernization

We keep the neighborly feel, while using new tools to keep you informed and make signatures, reminders, and updates easier.

Who We Help

If you’re settling into a first home and want a simple will, updating plans after a remarriage, caring for a parent and need powers of attorney, or serving as an executor and unsure where to start with probate, we can help. We also assist small business owners forming an LLC and homeowners handling deed updates or transfers.

What to Expect When You Stop In at Our East Center Street Office

Your first visit is a straightforward conversation. We’ll sit down face-to-face like people have for so many years, listen to what brought you in, and ask a few questions about your goals, family, property, and concerns. We explain options in plain terms, outline reasonable timelines and costs, and flag anything that is not a good fit. There is no pressure to decide on the spot; many neighbors take time to think or talk with family. If another professional would better serve part of your matter, we will say so and share referrals. When you are ready to move ahead, we map next steps, handle our tasks, and set a follow-up appointment. The aim is simple, clear guidance you can use today and plans that still make sense years from now.
